With its Baroque
frontage and Art Nouveau decoration signed by Louis Majorelle, the Grand
Hotel Moderne combines charm, elegance and comfort in the heart of Lourdes.
Built in 1896 by Benoite and Jean-Marie Soubirous, younger brother of Saint
Bernadette, this hotel is a jewel of architecture from the beginning of the
20th century. Located only 50 metres from the entrance of the sanctuaries,
the hotel has direct access to the grotto as well as the highlights of
Lourdes: the native house of Bernadette, basilicas, the fortified castle and
museums. Its 110 rooms are vast and well-equipped, and offer a privileged
sight of the sanctuaries or the nearby Pyrenees. Its restaurants, Le Salon
Majorelle and Le Michelangelo, accommodate you amongst a warm atmosphere of
woodworks mixed harmoniously with marbles and mouldings. Two rooms are also
at your disposal for meetings, seminars, masses or private parties. |
